2. And I inquired of the angel, saying, Wherefore have they taken those long ropes, and gone forth? He said, They are gone forth to measure.

And I asked the angel, saying: "Why have these taken the long cords, and have gone away?" And he said to me: "They went out to measure."

And I asked the angel, saying unto him: 'Why have those (angels) taken these cords and gone off?' And he said unto me: 'They have gone to measure.'

Och jag frågade ängelen sägande: hvarföre hafva de tagit dessa tåg och begifvit sig bort? Han sade: de hafva begifvit sig bort, för att mäta.

Och jag frågade ängeln och sade: Hvi fingo de långa snören och foro bort? Och han sade till mig: De foro bort för att mäta.
